Buy Claude without a credit card after a payment is declined

A declined card does not make crypto a native Anthropic payment method. The practical alternative is an independent purchase of an official Claude gift subscription, followed by redemption on the recipient's own eligible account.

Rule out an account or location problem first

A card decline can be a bank issue, but it can also signal an unsupported billing setup, account restriction, or location problem. A gift will not bypass Anthropic's supported-location list or account enforcement. Confirm recipient eligibility before using another payment route.

How the no-card route works

Select the official gift plan and term, pay the independent store with one supported crypto route, and submit the public transaction ID. After verification, the store purchases the gift and emails its official redemption link.

Anthropic states that the recipient does not need a credit card to redeem the gift. The account must still meet all redemption rules, including the special wait for an active mobile subscription.

Information you should never provide

A legitimate gift delivery does not require access to the recipient's Claude account or wallet. Never share a password, 2FA code, email login, seed phrase, private key, recovery code, or remote-desktop access.

Compare the full cost
